BH Cosmetics: 10 pcs Deluxe Brush Set (Red)

Hello dolls!!! This post is going to be a review of my BH Cosmetics brush set I purchased earlier this year. I was trying to build my makeup kit and needed more brushes that looked professional, were of great quality, and inexpensive. While researching different brands I found this brush set on BH Cosmetic's website. Me being me, I youtubed this set to see if it received  positive or negative reviews. At the time I could not find many videos on this brush set; however, the ones I did find gave this brush set a positive review. So I decided to take a chance and try this set for myself.

#phuckyopancakeface: Highlighting and Contouring MY WAY

Hello dolls!!!! First things first, my laptop has been acting a donkey and I haven't been able to do ANYTHING! GGRRR!!! It's all good, I'll be getting her fixed soon ^.^ On to the post!

If you have been following me on twitter, facebook, or Instagram you would have seen the picture below of the different stages I take to highlight/contour my face. In this post I will be explaining the process in more detail, as well as the products that I use.

DISCLAIMER: I use the word BLEND like a million times in this post lol.....for good reason though because it is the key to highlighting/contouring.

Makeup look inspired by Raja from 'RuPaul's Dragrace'

Hey dolls! This look was inspired by Raja, the winner from Season 3 of 'RuPaul's Dragrace.' I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way he does his makeup! I was soo captivated by this look that he wore on the show and wanted to try my hand at recreating it. I think I did a pretty good job at it, considering this is my first time doing drag makeup. I wanted my recreation to be as authentic as possible, so I threw a hair piece on and cut it into a short china bang bob.

I will not be posting the products that I used because I used so many to achieve this look and do not remember everything that I used...sorry! I will however be posting a few pics, so I hope you enjoy!

This look features a cut crease eye that extends to the nose, natural false lashes, bold black eyeliner....

Banana Lips!!! : Where I found an inexpensive yellow lipstick

Hey dolls!!! So obvi by the title, this post is about where I found an inexpensive yellow lipstick. As you all may know, colored lipstick has really become a sought after item for a while now in the makeup community. With companies like OCC (Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics) and Ka'Oir, women around the world are able to sport bold lips with colored lipsticks such as blue, green, yellow, etc. Despite the new rave of colored lipsticks, they have actually been around for years, it's just that there were not as many women who were bold enough to wear these colors. I thought to myself, where could I find a highly pigmented color lipstick? I decided to go to a local....

This look features a semi-smokey eye, contoured face, soft rosy cheeks, and pinkish nude lips.

Baltimore Fashion Week

Hey Dolls!!! There has been a lot going on in my life lately, some good and some not so good. I'll start with the not so good. I use this blog as a place where I can express myself...where I can be who I am without feeling judged by anyone. I LOVE to read and respond to your comments because it makes me feel like we are all good girlfriends just hanging out or catching up. Having that said, I'll allow you dolls into a piece of my life. A couple of weeks ago there was a death in my family. It was and still is a very hard topic to talk about. I appreciate all the kind words that everyone said on my Twitter, FB, and IG. You have no idea how much your words mean to my family and I. Dolls please do not take anybody in your life fore granted. Show them that you love them while they are still here with you. Life is too short to hold grudges, or to hold on to petty arguments. This is one of the reasons why I have not posted on my blog in a while. R.I.P Mama, we love you, and you will NEVER be forgotten. It's hard but I know your watching over us.

On a lighter note, the good news is that I was one of the makeup artist for Baltimore Fashion Week!!!! It was a 3 day event from Aug. 17th -19th. The following are some pics from last weekend's events:

I did my hair in a jumbo braid, wore a basic black v-neck shirt, black pants, and my glitter black Toms.

Makeup worn in my video with the

Hello dolls!!! I have been receiving a lot of positive feedback on the video that I did for the, especially on the makeup that I wore in the video. So I thought that I would do a post on the makeup that I wore. One of the things that I think is so cool about my makeup look is that I wore a purple/blue metallic lipstick that I actually created as a result of losing my Up The Amp lilac lipstick by MAC *GRRRR!$@#!!*

I also wanted to mention that I am going to start recording myself doing the makeup that you see in my blog because I think that would be a better visual for you all instead of having to read what I did and try to mimic my looks.

Flower Bomb Makeup Look

Hello Dolls!!! So last night I wanted to try another creative makeup look since I haven't done one since my "Creepy Clown" post. I pulled inspiration from a picture of a flower that I have and came up with the look below. If you've been following me on Instagram, then you would have already seen this picture.

This look features a pink, orange, and yellow eye, with full top lashes, individual bottom lashes, a nude lip, part of a flower drawn on my left eye, and a strong deep purple contour. I will not mention specifically what I used because I don't remember everything lol *sowy*. I hope that you enjoy the pictures! Don't forget to comment below to tell me what you think ^.^

The look for less (Khloe Kardashian Inspired Look)

Hello dolls!! This post is going to be a little different than other posts that I've done. This is going to be a "look for less" type of post. I think I might incorporate these type of posts more into my blog.

If you know me, you know that I am a HUGE fan of the Kardashian family! And dont get me started on their fashion
sense….in a word, LOVE!!!!! As such I watched Sunday’s episode of “Keeping up with the Kardashians” and realized

Hayden Williams Cocktail Couture inspired makeup look

Hello Dolls!!! Recently I saw a picture of a dope illustration by Hayden Williams entitled "Cocktail Couture pt4." In this picture there were 4 illustrations of different women with some of the most amazing cocktail pieces I have ever seen in my life! Hayden has an uncanny way of depicting high fashion and glamour not only in the garments, but also in the makeup. His illustrations give me strong contours, highlights, bold winged liner, full lips......basically they give me LIFE!!!! Because of this, I was inspired to mimic the makeup of one of the women he drew. Below is the picture that I pulled the look from.

Hello dolls!!! So if you follow me on Instagram you would have seen this picture that I posted already. I went to the nail salon last Friday for a pampering session with my little sister. I got a pedicure and found the most adorable polish! It's a peachy-pink polish by Essie called "Haute As Hello." I thought I'd do a short post of what it looks like on my toes ^.^

Weave Cafe Virgin Indian Hair Review (two month install)

Hello dolls, this post is going to be about my opinion of the Virgin Indian hair that I purchased from the Weave Cafe. I received alot of questions on Twitter asking how well the hair is doing, if it still goes back to it's original wavy state once it's been straightened with a flat iron, if the ends are split, etc. I recently took the hair out, and decided to update everyone on how the hair held up while it was installed. I feel that I can give a good review of the hair since I have had it in for almost two months and feel that I can share the pros, cons, and if I would recommend this hair.

Below is a picture of how the hair looked after I took it out.
(This is before I washed it)

Dramatic Green Smokey eye

Hello dolls!!! The title of this post pretty much explains itself. This post will feature a green smokey eye look with a nude/pale pink lip, and a highlighted/contoured face. I wanted to do a smokey eye look with vibrant colors, since it's spring, so I felt that green was a good color to play with.

Here is the look that we are going for:

Outer Space (Purple/Pink & Black Smokey eye look)

Hello Dolls!!! This post is about a makeup look that I did on my friend yesterday. The title comes into play because I was told on Instagram that the eye makeup looks like outer space, which I both agreed with and loved, so I went with it. Thanks Dre!

*Side Note: If you aren't following me on Instagram then SHAME ON YOU!!! lol...I actually post sneak peek pics of what my next blog post is going to be about. My Instagram and Twitter information are located at the bottom of this post.*

This look features a smokey eye with a pop of glittery purple-pink in the center of the lid, a nude lip, and a highlighted/contoured face.

Hello Dolls!! So this post is going to be on a makeup look that I did yesterday. It is a purple soft cut-crease look, with loads of mascara, a peachy pink nude lip, and a contoured face. This look could be worn to prom, a night out with the girls, or if your bold during the day! (minus the mustache lol) Below is a picture of the look

I got the blues

Hello Dolls! This post is not going to be as dramatic as the Creepy Clown post lol. It's a wearable smokey blue eye with a nude I'd say that it's kind of dramatic in it's own right but it's a wearable dramatic. For this look I used a lot of drugstore products, so you will not break the bank  ;-)

Here is the look that we are going for

Creepy Clown

Hello dolls!! Recently a good friend of mine told me that I need to try fantasy/crazy makeup so that I can expand the type of makeup that I do and have in my portfolio. So I decided to try a look that I saw on youtube of Killer Clown makeup. Click here to see the actual tutorial that I followed to get this look. I did not have everything that EmpressMakeup used in her video, so this look is more so inspired than an actual replica.

Alexander McQueen Clutch Dupe

Hello dolls!!! Sooo lately I have been really into shiny, glittery, blinged out things. I came across a picture on  tumblr that had two clutches that made me GAG! They are Alexander McQueen clutches encrusted in rhinestones with the iconic skull as the clasp.

Curly Girl: How I define curls

Hello Dolls!!!  So obvi by the title I am going to be explaining how I define my curls when I wear my hair curly, as well as how I blend my hair. When wearing curly hair, I like for it to look voluminous while having that "wet look" without actually being wet (if that makes sense lol). That sounds impossible but I think I've perfected my technique and love the results I get.

Below is a picture of how I like for my curls to look, as well as some of the styles I wear with curly hair. F.Y.I. I rod the perimeter of my leave out to blend.

Makeup for the Omega Psi Phi Pi Omega Mardi Gras 2012

Hello Dolls!!!! This weeks post is going to be about the makeup that I did for two ladies who were attending  a Mardi Gras event this past weekend. Both women wanted a smokey eye so I decided to use different colors for them so they would have their own look. (A smokey eye is not always black and can incorporate other colors to make it work for you.) For the first look I did a bronze smokey eye that I've blogged about before with a few changes, and the second look is a smokey eye that I like to do using a green/brown pigment.

Below are the looks that I did for my clients:

Brow Beater

Hello dolls!!! I have been extremely busy lately with work and other projects which is why I have not done a post in a while...LO SIENTO! Pero recently I'd been asked to outline the steps that I take to brows....the house...down lol. So as you might have already guessed, this post is about how I fill in and shape my brows.

Relaxed day (ft. ELF 100 Piece Classic Eyeshadow Palette - Limited Edition)

Hello again Dolls!!! This post is going to be a little bit of me showing a look that I wore recently using the e.l.f. Studio Silver Box 100-Piece Classic Eyeshadow Palette - Limited Edition that my grandmother gave me for Christmas, as well as a little review on how I feel about the palette so far.

With this look I really wanted to do something soft, as I didn't have a lot to do that day.  Typically I go for more matte eyeshadows; however, this time I wanted to do something a little bit different and decided to use   shimmery eyeshadows to achieve this look.

Product Review: EOS Lemon Drop Lip Balm with SPF 15

Hello Dolls!!! So today's post is about a product that I was introduced to by my little sister. It is the EOS round lip balm in Lemon Drop with SPF 15. My sister was the first person I saw use this product and she loved it and always told me that I should try it for myself. She went to the store the other day and stocked up on some more of these lip balms in different scents and she was nice enough to give me one.
