Product Review: EOS Lemon Drop Lip Balm with SPF 15

Hello Dolls!!! So today's post is about a product that I was introduced to by my little sister. It is the EOS round lip balm in Lemon Drop with SPF 15. My sister was the first person I saw use this product and she loved it and always told me that I should try it for myself. She went to the store the other day and stocked up on some more of these lip balms in different scents and she was nice enough to give me one.

My Review
  • When I first used this lipbalm it was not very smooth; however, after a couple uses it applies to the lips smoothly and leaves a silky, moisturized feeling. It is not sticky at all. I find that as a result of the product feeling silky on the lips it does not last as long as I'd like it to. I'm constantly having to reapply more and more of the product as time goes on. I like the scent of the product, which is something that is really big for me. If I do not like the scent of a lip product then I can't use it. This lip balm actually has a pleasant scent to it and smells exactly like what the name suggests.
  • The packaging is bigger than the average lip balm and takes up more space in my purse; however, I actually like the way that it looks. I like the dome shape of the product, as it has a large surface that covers 90% of my lips while I'm applying it.
  • Initially I thought that this product was pricey for a lip balm. However, upon more research and experience with it I feel that this product is worth the price. The first thing that I did was find a close competitor and compare this product to its competitor's specs. One brand that I think as a close competitor to EOS is Burt's Bee's in that they both place an emphasis on the fact that they both produce natural/organic products, both company's products tend to be priced at a higher price point. In my opinion the EOS lip balms are better than the Burt's Bees lip balm in terms of overall quality, price, and packaging.
  • I would definitely recommend this product to others and plan on purchasing more in the near future. Needless to say that big fat cheesy smile I had when my sister told me that she purchased this product for me is still there lol. Let me know in the comments below if you have ever used this product before and your opinion of it  :)

  1. I have this lip balm in tropical punch(i think that's the scent)and i'm not that crazy about the smell or the slight gritty feeling it has after the initial smoothness. I love the packaging and it seems like it will last a while. I might try the mint one next but i'm not sold on it yet.

  2. My sister has the tropical punch one also, but she says she likes it. I think the medicated tangerine will be the next move for me as well, either that or the strawberry sorbet. I just think they are so cute! The only thing is that they don't have good staying power :(

  3. I have both the medicated tangerine and the strawberry sorbet. I prefer the medicated tangerine. It is much more moisturizing and the sorbet doesn't even have much of a scent. Try medicated tangerine.

  4. Oh and there is no tropical punch flavored eos lip balm. Perhaps you mean summer fruit? It comes in the reddish pinkish container.

    1. I've since tried the medicated tangerine and I didn't like it so much. It smelled kind of weird to me and I'm really big on smells lol, and yes I was referring to the summer fruit. That one smells so good!
